The challenge

The professional apron had become purely functional. Speklab® saw an opportunity to turn it into something people would wear with pride: a durable piece of craftsmanship with personality, made for people who take their craft seriously. The challenge was to create more than a leather apron. It needed to become a brand with a culture of its own.

The approach

We built Speklab® around one simple idea: from creators, for creators.

Craftsmanship, food, hospitality and a Burgundian love for life shaped the brand from the beginning. From naming and product development to visual identity, photography, packaging, e-commerce and communication, every detail was created to feel honest, tactile and unmistakably Speklab®.

The result

Made by hand. Worn with pride. Speklab® grew from an idea in Woerden into a distinctive product brand, with handcrafted aprons finding their way to creators in the Netherlands and beyond. A brand made for people who create.
